Sweet Dandelion Wine

Michael -- The Fox -- he once said this to me,
"buyers beware when rooster talons shine," --
and shine they did like sweet dandelion wine,
sharpened for all the world to see.

I hesitated shortly after, drawing up my plans,
and The Fox's words were soon forgotten;
worry: none -- my mind was rotten,
for a hunger ate away my aptitude for scams.

With my planning done, I jumped right in --
the feathers blew all way in there!
I snarled and showed my weapons here,
but a streak of gold flashed near my chin!

I dreamt of plump fat body juices fine,
flowing down my throat with grace,
I saw the fogs of silvery grey enveloping my face,
I heard "Beware when rooster talons shine!",
and they did -- oh they did -- like sweet dandelion wine.
