The Sparkles Around Your Toes
Yeah we were young then
Not so far away from now
We had our time
And it was the best we had
On to this tale let's go
Days flew and passed by
The sun rose and we watched the dawn together
Then warmed each other by holding tight
Sure kept us all warm
And fuzzy in this wintry weather
Those early mornings
Philosophic gatherings
By the bay
When we were together and
Saw the moon chase the sun away
Not far away from now we sat on this beach so preen
We could imagine tomorrow as a life so sweet
Big plans and transfrenetic dawns were seen
Before us lay the ocean, seemed all was complete
Twenty feet from our feet when the tide was high
Heaven knows there was a sparkle around your toes
A night of dreams with an indigo mystic glow
Waves told us to listen close
Wish once and make it twice
The moon was chasing the sun away
As we reposed
Heaven knows there was
A sparkle around your toes
