When upgrading the program GirlFriend 1.0 to Wife 1.0, you will experience a number of bugs. You will also find that the program Wife 1.0 needs so much system capacity that there is almost no space for other programs.
Please, note that GirlFriend is an Entertainment Program as com-pared with Wife. You might be looking for a Utility program, but in that case you should turn to the Butler Programs, which in many cases are available at lower costs than the Wife Programs.
An obvious bug, known through other users, although not men-tioned in the Manual, is that Wife 1.0 generates a so- called Child Process, which will require even more capacity. With Child Process follows automatically Dia-per Changing 1.0 and House Cleaning 52.1, and may be Nagging 6.0.
Another malfunction is that Wife 1.0 installs itself in such a way that it supervises other program activities. For one reason or another the switch to turn the “sound off” was severely damaged during the upgrading process.
If run together with Wife 1.0, programs like Drinking Buddies 6.1 and Golf Tour 18.1 constantly give a flashing pop-up warning: "These instruc-tions are not allowed. Close all programs and restart the computer". It even looks like Wife 1.0 is trying to abort these programs with some sort of timing incom-patibility. Presumably you have never experienced such problems with these programs before.
Wife 1.0 comes with a number of unexpected plug-ins, like Mother-In-Law 88.8 the Beta version and Brother-In-Law 5.5. Further, error messages are a common and normal part of Wife 1.0 unless you use Flowers 3.0 or Choc-olate 2.0.
Problem is that it is difficult to return to GirlFriend 1.0 because Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this. And if you do you will run into Child-Support 1.4, which is a very costly program.
Even the smallest mistake is stored in long-term memory for later re-trieval.
Wife 1.0 has such logic that no one but the creator understands it.
It has been suggested that the new, upgraded version of Wife 2.0 should also include:

* "Please, do not remind me again" button
* Compact Version
* Volume Control button
* Delete Function for nagging loops

If you install Mistress 1.1 before uninstalling Wife 1.0, Wife 1.0 will automatically erase all Mrs. Money files and then run automatically and totally out of your control.
The problem with this particular malfunction of Wife 1.0 is that the system then suffers from insufficient resources for re-installing Mistress 1.1. If you still have an urgent desire for re-installing Mistress 1.1. and want to avoid bugs appearing in Wife 1.0, we recommend that you install Mistress 1.1. on an-other processor to avoid file transfers and shareware between the systems.
If you stick to GirlFriend 2.0 you will avoid the malfunctions in Wife 1.0. However, there are known malfunctions with the GirlFriend programs
For instance, you cannot install GirlFriend 2.0 over Girl-Friend 1.0 in the same system. The two programs do not run well together if on the same processor and conflicts between the two will become obvious when they learn that they share the hardware. Further, it is not possible to use either of these pro-grams a back-up for the other, which is also a rather well known bug.
All versions of GirlFriend can be controlled with a Joy-stick, which, however, is not always true with all versions of Wife.
A tricky malfunction is the uninstallation of GirlFriend 1.0. Even if you delete the whole program, traces will remain on the hard disk depending on the number of relation symbols you have used during programming.
In all versions of the GirlFriend program you will find constant pop-up messages pointing out the advantages of up-grading to Wife 1.0 or at least TokenRing 1.0 and Fiancee 1.0. However if you purge the cash files it will unin-stall itself and also if you do not upgrade within one year after installation it simply will expire out of the system. All versions also have the dysfunction that they cannot be reprogrammed.
ShareWare programs like OneNite 6 might have viruses, which may affect Wife 1.0. To run an antivirus program like FreeSexPlus on Wife 1.0 with-out a decoder is a rather risky operation.
