Procrastination is
sweeping the nation
for the meek and
the sobby
I guess that describes me today
and historically it has been
one of my major hobbies
Let's you look in the mirror
as I will look in mine
and see in, into, your eyes
as I will look in, into, mine
and I guess I recall something that
I once wrote
for an egoistic self help guru
a rough and tumble kind of guy
from Norrköping
that I was paid to be an editor for
jeeze, was he ever a pain in the ass
he gave everybody his advice
sometimes unsolicited
and he lacked a certain
polish and class
he was hurtful
and that brings out in me the sass
Yes, to me he was an ogre
to others he was a shining light
who guaranteed a primal night
Oh well, one should not talk
disparagingly
about the dead
and take them to task
anyway here's a line
that I wrote to promote his book
when I was an editor
it stands on the back cover and
goes something like this
"the Road to healing,
self development and enlightenment
hides just behind your eyes"
I was searching for truth and needing
to pay the bills
