Our story has ended after many years together,
I try to think it was all for the better.
Sleepless nights, memories drift free,
While she seeks love, far away from me.

She came back, tears like a flood,
Told of betrayal, her heart in mud.
Cried on my shoulder, cheated on and broken,
The words ”I will never see him again” were spoken.

But her promises shattered like glass,
She went back to him, as if nothing had passed.
She hurt me deeply with every word,
Since she left, lies were all I heard.

I cut the ties, a final farewell,
They say it will get better, but it feels like hell.
She does not see, how deeply she wounds,
Yet in my heart, a place for her blooms.
