I may not understand your language, but I understand the poets heart

låta nej tunga bli en barriär till poesin

Without your eye, I cannot see
Or your voice, I cannot speak
I travel here to foreign lands
Friends of old that I would seek

Within this lingual darkness
So devoid of a kindred voice
I found the tongue of nations
Was a guiding light of choice

That which I had once called home
In its silence now, reflected
Migration toward an alien place
So our words once more, connected

Well done Liam . . . I think you shall
spell . . .

\"Låt iinte tungan bli en barriär till poesin\"

Let not the tung be a barier to the poetry

and the poem is outstanding!

to be a foreigner you speak and spell the Swedish language well, even though just one sentence is written in Swedish...

although the title in Swedish sounds a little bit queer...

the last word in the title is written \"poesin\" in Swedish...

and wondering why you write \"Or your voice..\", instead of \"Without your voice..\", which sounds more correct...

but like your poem all the same...

This sums up my feels all too well. I can only imagine what it would be like to actualy live in a foreign land where one does not understand the language. Getting use to the new language here on this site isn\'t that difficult, but all the same it is a new experience...

Nice introductory note, I like it! And it\'s good to see you hear on this site. I\'m going to add this to my favourites because it is such a good theme for us here in the \"Rats Club\".

Thanks for sharing, and keep writing.
