spent a lot of childhood 

on these beaches

life was pretty easy

way back when

and it really breaks 

my heart to pieces

knowing that i won´t 

be back again

i guess we were the summer children

i was born on june the first

i guess we really had our fill then

life itself took care of our thirst

this is where the memories were planted

somewhere near the water and the sand

and the happy childhood we were granted

was a foretaste of the wonderland

i guess we were the summer children...

and that summer girl with austrian parents

wonder where that sweet girl lives today

i can hear that echo from those beaches

deep down in my heart, it´s there to stay

i guess we were the summer children...
