The morning light slowly enters the room
through the window blinds
gently fondling her chocolate-like skin,
just like my fingers carefully touch every inch of her body

- Remember, you can’t have her.

She is laying so close to me
that I can feel her whole body pressed against me
and me, who never thought this would happen ever again.

– Remember, you are not hers.

My fingers wants to discover every cell on her body,
her shining and smooth skin.
Touching her makes her hair raise and her skin react like it wants more.

- Remember no matter how much you explore, she won’t be yours from the inside.

Don’t forget that when you are laying there next to her,
after you tasted her lips again,
felt her smile through the dark room
and looked straight into her glittering eyes.
You feel her pulse rush

- remember, you know she isn’t yours anymore,
and it doesn’t matter how many maps you try to draw hoping she will find her way back
because she won’t come back.

Even when you are laying there next to her,
Gently stroking her hair
and her leg is in-between your own.
Like nothing have changed at all

- remember, everything have changed

Like she is yours, even though she is not.
Like she is eventually going to be yours again,
even though she will never truly be anyone’s.

I understand.
I know what I am getting myself into.
My heart now understands, what it once wasn’t able to grasp.
Now I know another level of love.

She is laying so close, I never thought it would ever happen again.
Her breathing is so heavy, she is in dreamland at the moment.
Her palms are so innocent,
her hair so beautiful,
No matter what happens,

- remember, she isn’t yours.
Her heart doesn’t beat for you, as yours beats for her.
But that is okay
because she taught me unconditionally love
even though she isn’t mine.
