Early Mornings are the most desirable
experience of my day, rising up being
greeted by the sun, who often tosses
pebbles at my window, like an irrational
teenage boy who is madly in love, he never
dares to knock on my door, but I really don’t
mind for he awakens me through the glass
with such a delicate touch, I always set my alarm
just so I won’t miss his visit,  welcome him with
a little yawn, dressed in nothing but a shirt, my curls
all eager, glowing by his visit, and my skin transforms
into a sponge, absorbing all his warmth. I brew us
some coffee and press play, sometimes a little Bossa nova
other times jazz, candlelight by the window, making the whole world
smell like vanilla, coconut or sandalwood, together we just sit and

enjoy the stillness before the rest of the world awakes
