harbinger of felicity

i´ve got a gift

a serious man is walking by
with roses that he bought
like a reminder of our death
parading in his coat
i turn it into poetry
´cause that´s what i do best
i´m happy through an act of grace
by grace i ride this crest

i love the way that you object
to all conventions here
i love your total disrespect
and that you´re so sincere
the tulips in the market square
proclaim that spring´s here soon
so never mind your worries now
forget the august moon
