I saw a city filled with lust and agony
where people, like animals, slunk through the grim half- light
In an instant someone came
someone who speaks boldly for the right cause
Didn’t matter if they whispered or screamed
we all fell for the brutish race
Like some poor wren that shrieking eagle tears
Dishonored and shamed, with blood running from my face
I just stood by watching them slaughter a whole race
But we shall rise like lions from our slumber
tear apart those chains that hold us down under
Take to the streets to provoke a fight
the man will never let us survive
he’ll come with dirty tricks
But we’ll come together like black and red
in this revolution like no other.
And there is no turning back
Mixing the bittersweet with the melancholy
manifesting our old memories
Radical, violent, stubborn, angry
Dishonored and shamed, with blood running from my face
I just stood by watching them slaughter a whole race
