The foremost and immediate task for the World Community is to counter the threat constituted by the Corona Virus; that achieved, the next challenge is to reflect on and implement medical, economic and social strategies aiming at, to the highest degree possible, preventing the return of Covid-19, strains of it, or Pandemics caused by other viruses or bacteria. Other existential challenges are to see to what degree, if any, their appearances are due to the Climate Crisis and/or social and economic characteristcs.
