Fifth Avenue

Walking down Fifth Avenue
the gentle breeze of spring
plays with us, we the people
reaches each and everyone
some people walk fast
some walk slow
still, there´s a pace
from that deep vibraiting bow

A background radiation
almost untraceable
all but impossible to sense
comes over us, touches us
gently fondles, we the people
from all over
no, not even a young man
carrying a quite persistent
version of the bacillus
social phobia
needs to run away and hide

You may reflect over it
you may not
you may sense it
or not
but it´s there, almost a miracle
a feeling of almost complete
trust

A few blocks away
compassion at bay
seventies in the backstreets
terror, danger and fear
the net of trust despised and torn
to card, spin and weave
arts almost forlorn

Where do we find Fifth Avenue?
in New York City, USA
and
all over
in places countless
villages and cities
deserts and forests
lakes, rivers and creeks
sometimes shrinking
sudden overflow
deltas
immeasurably rich
all over, people
who
over and over again
card, spin and weave
the net of trust

The Fifth Avenue
of New York I have
been where...1981...
Still remember it as
it was yeasterday...
And a "flood" of people
going up and down and
I felt at home at once...
It was a kind of a melting
pot there were people
I´m sure from every
part of our world...
Great to be there!!!
