Crossroad

A man was walking along the side of a road.

With tired eyes and blurry sight he just kept walking from nowhere to nowhere else.

He was carrying with him, his sorrow on his back and just as heavy as the night fell on his shoulders, his sorrow pulled him down.

The lonely road seemed endless in his mind and so did the time on his hands.

All the pain he had caused, all the hate he had spread around him, like a shadow consumed by the darkest of night, he consumed the light in others.

I don't deserve to die, his thought was the only thing that kept him alive so he kept on walking, kept on living.

After years of loneliness and wandering around in the dark he suddenly came to a crossroad.

In his confusion he looked up in the sky and saw that millions of stars never stopped shining on him.

When he looked down again he realized that he had a choice.
