Every piece has a place

Some are insignificant
They are easy to find
A few are essential
They are all one of a kind

The piece I am searching for
Is the most beautiful of them all
It is the core of life itself
Without it I will fall

Pieces are spread all over the floor
The search is tearing me down
I can't cope anymore

I don't understand why it has to be like this
Why can't I find the piece that I miss?
Without it the colors are pointless and dull
Without it the picture can never be full
