Some reflections on the present threats to our environment and survival, and what we do and can do about it.
Tipping points.According to a majority of environmental scientists, the global climate systems might be dangerously close to a collapse, "a tipping-point"; some argue that it already is a fact. The views differ on the magnitude and the character of it, and how close in time we are to see it unleash its full potential. Exactly what disruptions of the highly complicated and sophisticated global weather system that would trigger the actual collapse, is also a question of debate. The Paris Climate Conference (COP21), and the agreement reached, can be said to have that assumption as one of its cornerstones.
