Nasime the avenger, so darkly fair
In videos she'd sing, dance and preach
Now she is dead. Oh, the blood in her hair!
A martyr for freedom of speech
She built up her body, so slender and strong
She taught us of her vegan ways
Beguiled our hearts with her dance and her song
But they filtered the videos she made
The gatekeeper's gates she entered with grace
Fed up with his censor game
With her pistol in hand and her brown eyes ablaze
Nasime made immortal her name
In 2018, on April the 3rd
On the west coast of the USA
Resolved and determined, this sweet Persian girl
Raised her white hand, and fired away
She had taken revenge. Now her mind was at peace
Then a sad smile crossed her lips
For she did not intend to await the police
She looked down at the gun in her grip
The last of her bullets she'd saved for her head
Its eye had a satisfied gleam
The Persian girl's beautiful dark hair went red
And that was the end of Nasime
Oh dearest! Oh sweetest! It pains me, my love
That now it's already too late
To see you before we're in heaven above
I'll remember you more than your fate
