A long time ago I stopped
stopped caring, stopped wanting
stopped lusting after things
things, people and emotions
the objects of life I cannot have

I stopped breathing the lustful air
stopped savouring the spicy food
stopped crying and stopped laughing
I switched off life for a li'l while

a li'l while quickly turned into days,
days became months and years
and years and years...

I lost humanity in the process, I think...

I can write but I can't read,
I can write but I shun speech

I don't remember how to feel,
