A poem about love, words and steps.

My beloved

My beloved, is it your steps that with such grace
pardons the grass in every gentle move?
My beloved, your spirit, does it ignite my spine
with a warm and lively breath?
If so My beloved
with bridle and rein I charge my pace a heavy toll
and temper my trembling hart.

If so My beloved
will you then for me in the glimpses of your dress
the sparks around your shoes, celebrating
the unity of dew and time
look for the words of love for you
all the ones I´ve dropped and lost.

And My beloved
if a few, if one, there is to find
just fondle my ears with that teasing phrase
that me in orbit send, governed by that law
for me still to equate.
And then, My beloved
our faces against each other turned
breath in eyes and lungs in hold
the word of yours from this little book of notes
I´ll give to you

And then My beloved
if you calm the curious air with the ones of mine
let us be puzzled lost and found
criss-crossed like two perplexed friends
with words just an eternity ago
jailed or blown around.

And My beloved, if once again that seal of ours
like a dawn from patterns and paths emerge
let´s close our eyes and load it down
to an open account, our eyes
the free and inviting code.

Then, My beloved
let us bid goodbye for just a little while
and walk those restless paths
until brought close again
by the breath of words
