a slight sliver of bright, glistening light
from underneath the permanently unopened door
through the insignificant void 'tween frame and the point of it all
it's always visible, this unexplored
as it shifts and moves with fluttering feet beyond

in here the darkness' reign is ever unquestioned
more for the sake of relieving the carnal self from light
but also, as the enveloping feel of the encompassing shroud of night
always like coming home to open arms when you're all alone in life
to be held, even by the lack of light, is a chance
or, an opportunity to grasp whatever emotion that could have been
that is, if there was emotions involved
