Happy words from an old Drew Student.

Nobel Prize to Drew University professor!

I was so glad to hear that William C. Campbell, from Irland (and Drew!), and his fellow colleagues Youyou Tu, from China, and Satoshi Omura, from Japan, has been awarded the Nobel prize in Physiology and Medicine in 2015 for their outstanding achievements!.

I studied at Drew for two and a half years between Fall, 1978, and Spring, 1982, when I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree, with Political Science as my major. (I came as a transfer student from the University of Stockholm.) Those years were some of the best in my life. It is not often I cry these days but this morning, reading the good news in the newspaper, I did.

A Drew circle is
in its own way
a unique circle,
because it is
alive pulsating,
breathing,
in all and every
aspects of its
configurations.

It originates again and
again, spontaneously,
at a party or at the pub;
a reasurance that we are
one and all, creating
a dancing circle, arms
around your shoulders
just to make sure, yes,
just to confirm, that we
are never really alone.
