Visits in the night
She is the dream I wish I'd have every night
The kind of dream where every color is vibrant and vital
Where the forest green is so deep it seems to be the color of life
The red as dark as heart's blood and as bright as newfound love
Blues pale as perfect ice crystals or as full as the depths of the winter sky
I want to be blinded by whiteness so crisp it seems as it would crack and break just be being seen
Every sound is clear and sharp like the purest notes
Plucked from the most glorious of instruments
A dream in which the wind sounds like a lover's whisper
And the swell of the sea sounds like the world itself is yawning on a beautiful summer's morning
And the rustle of leaves is a promise of soft and gentle touches
It's the reason why I go to sleep
The simple hope that she will visit me
In the stillness of the night
Her torrential beauty is my sustenance
