"Surprise me", said the tearful wife.
"Tell me something I don't know.
Tell me something about you."

The husband, indifferent for half his life,
refusing to live, refusing to grow,
looked up, and saw his wife anew.

A lifetime together, yet far apart,
dreams shattered and put aside.
Time come for a brand new start,
he stood up, and saw, his yesterday bride.

He started to speak, but no words could say,
the feelings he had kept within.
Wife came closer, gently touching his skin,
and the built up sorrow broke away.

Broke away to give room for what they had,
all those many years ago,
when nothing mattered, except them two.

Only remembering love, and not all the bad,
the husband hugged her, and so,
silently whispered "I Love You".

Hearing the words from long before,
locked in a warm embrace.
They felt a presence, a greater will.

Ready for a journey, to a distant shore,
enjoying God's most loving grace,
they left this world, and time stood still.
