I've been a war

I've been a war
and the herds of hunger
I've been the needle that sewed your smile

I was born
And so I held you

But recently, you found that I'm just one of those trees in the fog
Like a tooth-weel I scratch and force my neighbours
Loose pixels of dreams collide in the wind as I exhale

I saw the sun that overthrew me,
its warmth was dissolved in your eyes
To hold your name
I cut my nails

For the storm awaits,
I set my sails and let it catch me
