Little Marius is not quite like other little boys.
He doesn’t want to ride a bike or go skiing like the others.
He doesn’t even need much of the technical type of toys.
An old calendar or a phone-book keeps him occupied for hours.
Counting, reading and writing come very easy to him.
Marius is a born intellectual,
when it comes to that kind of things he’s a real beast.
Relating to other people, on the other hand,
doesn’t interest him in the very least.
You can’t reach him when he’s counting.
Drawing numbers in the air, he’s trapped in a world of his own.
He’s stepping to the beat of a distant drummer.
The music in his head can be heard by no one else.
He can’t see, he can’t hear much of anything around him.
He won’t let anyone lead him, he has to think for himself.
( solo)
You can’t reach him when he’s dancing.
He’s gone off to another world where others just can’t follow.
He’s dancing alone to the beat of a distant drummer.
The music in his head can be heard by no one else.
He can’t see, he can’t hear much of anything around him.
He won’t let anyone lead him, he has to think for himself.
