The message was written on the bulletin board
with a starkly coloured pen that
stank of demise and boredom
It\'s a new world for us,
where we don\'t count anymore,
we who live in the shadow
of the glass and concrete

The impending threat
of a global genocide through
ignorance of facts or
\'needed\' war is now a reality which we can\'t ignore
We\'re all a part of a system that promotes mass murder
and the exploitation of the weak to enrich ourselves
All of us are part of it - you, you and me
and we all think that we can\'t change a thing

As I pass the bulletin board
with its notes flapping in the stale breeze
I contemplate the possibility
that I might be dead this time tomorrow
Some would definitely call that the chance of a lifetime
but I brush it away like I brush everything else away
Soon the message on the bulletin board
will be brushed away, too,
and become just another memory
I can never recollect

But for now I\'ll remember it:
