The sun is shining,
lighting up our miserable lives
and bringing hope for the future
This is a time of changes,
when we throw away all the rubbish
and start all over again

We step outside
and reveal ourselves, undress us,
in need of comfort and warmth
since it has been so long ago
we have felt the touch of love

We put all our dark memories in a corner
and bring out the joy, the happiness
we have hidden for so long behind our sad eyes

This is a time of changes,
when we dare to step up for ourselves
and tell the world we’re not okay
but that we will be, someday, somehow,
that we will fight for our lives
and not give up until we win
or take our last breath
(but instead we give up
and hide behind sad eyes again
and wait for someone to come and rescue us)
