Part Three of the Clock Trilogy.

The Clock

In this eternal grief, I was trapped!
I was traped in the present,
In the present state of grief...

I could not reclaim my past
And the future was not yet to come...

What words are there to describe
This most dark time in my life?
There was no light...
I thought of life as though it were
A journey down a long dark tunnel...

And then I saw something
That was like a light
At the end of this long dark tunnel:
A clock.

Yes, a third clock did I see.
But this one was not broken
Nor did it run in any unnatural way.
It was a clock that ran forward
At a proper pace...

A new thought did this bring to my mind!
But yet, it was the same thought
That I had from the very beginning...

The present is the time we have,
It is the time that we are given,
It is my time,
It is my day...
Today is my day!

Though this thought did enter my mind
From the very beginning,
At that time I interpreted it as the sad truth...
But now I truly understand:
Today is the day!
Everyday is the day!
What is sad in this?

Though things may change,
Nothing really changes.
It is all based upon our choices...

Look at the clock,
Time is ticking...
Sieze the day!
