Imaginary friend
I've got an imaginary friend
She follows me everywhere
She speaks to me
Even though she's silent
And really far away
When the skies explode in colors
I can feel her near me
I can feel her cheek against mine
Wishful thinking, I know
But I can't help to reminisce
At night when I turn the lights off
She’s sitting on my bed waiting
As a conspicuous silhouette
Of memories, patched moments
And future dreams
I wish she could be real
Well, maybe she is
Perhaps she’s just in another dimension
Whispering my name
Somewhere where reality isn’t at distance
