Little Jewish girl

Little Jewish girl from the Bronx, with dark hair and almond eyes

Remember when you got father back home from the bar?

Mother was bathing in smoke; the young sailors were waiting at the lighthouse...

            ~~~
Hold my hand, I've come from afar. Let's walk past the mean streets of yesterday - do not fear the beasts with feet of clay
The hungry are freezing beneath crumbling bridges, let’s open the fridges to let out the pigeons!
There are no elevators up to heaven, dip your toes into the stars
I'm the traveler from outer space, descending down from the battlefields of Mars.
            ~~~

Don’t be shy - I’ll teach you how to fly, if you show me how to smile without tearing up the sky.

Let’s share each bowl of rice with the mice and feed the small villages with unicorns made of corn. Their laughter is dawn reborn

We'll turn every lonely Romeo into a fearless knight at the service of awakening light. Juliet does not belong to the night!

           ~~~
I'll throw away my broken shield and burning lance. The downtrodden will rise up and dance!
I'm not Lord Byron, but I will fight like a lion, at your side, invincible companion
Now is not the time to weep, the flowers cannot sleep. We need a clean shirt and new pants for the future!
          ~~~

Little Jewish girl from the Bronx, with curly hair and almond eyes

Soon we'll say goodbye, but know this: no tornado can blow us apart. Our friendship belongs to the stars

I'm the traveler from outer space, descending down from the battlefields of Mars.
