Poison Gas
Sartorial pageantry of alloys
sings tinnily gingerly in my ears
pomanders of hell exude nefarious mist
suffuse every pore
fumes pervade the air
Spread-eagled numb in awe
another waft scuds toward me cold and raw
as a tinny tiny tintinabullation
of the smallest chime
soars to the size of a steeple
Louder and louder a deafening peal
portent of the blackest of angels
murder underfoot murder ahead death everywhere
mere moments remain
of breaths deathless
Cadaveric spasm lurks one step away
rigor mortis farther life gone to waste
vitreous bubble of being flounders flits
as throes invade
with rapid pace
Race race
sheerest grace
race with haste
unholy grace
horrors to behold
agonies to face
this tear soaked clay
onto the road of surcease
ease of hallowed peace
to embrace
