”I love you” she said, gently touching my chin.
I looked into her eyes, those red beautiful eyes. And I recognized that feeling, that shiver down my spine, that feeling of happiness that only she could ever make me feel. i looked into her eyes, those beautiful red eyes! I couldn’t say anything, just stood there helpless, she had me in her power, and could do anything with me. She looked a bit worried.
“Say you love me!” she said her voice shivering, “ you still do, don’t you?”
“ of course I do,” I said, “ you know I always did, and always will. But you’ve been gone for so long, why come back now? Don’t you see how much you hurt me, don’t you se you rip up the wounds you caused me again?”
Then I saw it, the tear, the tear that had begun to fall from her eye. She looked at me and said, her voice still shivering,
“I’m sorry for all the pain I’ve caused you, I never wanted to hurt you, I’ll leave now if you want me to.”
“No!” I said, surprised by the fear in my own voice. “ all this time, and the only thin on my ,mind has been how to be able to get you back!
“so say you love me then!” she said, “if you really do!”
“ I DO love you , I really do, but you have to understand that I’m surprised by you coming back. And you have to understand that the pain I felt back then is coming back to me know!” I breathed deeply before I continued, “ but still, I don’t want to loose you again. Please stay this time!!”
She looked thoughtful, and I was scared that my little speech would have frightened her away, but then she smiled.
“ I didn’t realize how much pain I’d cause you, I forgot that humans live so much shorter than us, and…” she paused for a moment before she continued, as if she had to think about what she said, she was so changed. “ …I just remembered that, a few days ago, and I realized that In a few decades there won’t be a you to return to, so I had to return to you now.” She looked nervously at ,me and whispered “ and I will stay this time, as long as you want me to.”
I felt all my walls be knocked down by her, and I knew that it didn’t matter why she was back, only that she WAS back, and that this time she would stay with me forever, because that is just how long I wanted her to stay!
