Have you heard about the girl with the ginger hair
How she climbed to the stars one day
and in to the night she dissapeared

Down on earth there was nothing for her left
she had loved more than most
and she felt really blessed

Like a ray of light she shot through the sky
leaving those who would miss her
crying behind

But she smiled and kissed away their tears
with soft breezes and sunshine
in their hair

She said pleas don't cry for me
I am happy where I am
can't you see

The girl with the ginger hair
she rests in the sun
she is in our prayer

The world is now a different place
and the girl with the ginger hair
has vanished without a trace
