Between the vividness of city lighting
and the economy of rooms
the window sits, a sole opposer
to two perpetrated views.

A foreigner, like ice, in many ways a void
the thing seems strange to heart and hand
and "Nothing nature whispers
is intelligible through you!"

It will not show, nor leave in sight
the many-shaded feelings of early morning coldness
nor horizontal sunbeams fading into night.
