'Forever'

We come closer
and then
we say the word
'forever'

Though nothing ever is
'forever'

At one point
we cannot be
'forever' anymore

When it's all perfect
the only thing left
is falling
from our promise
'forever'

Does it have to be a point
were we cannot fight
for 'forever' to last?
