Among the Trouble and Toils [rhyme]

~*~

My great grandpa died fifty years before I was born
no wonder sometimes one find oneself feeling forlorn

great joys in the garden of times and gladness
is also combined with sombre great sadness

the finer things in life is yours for the taking
but never fully enjoyed when hearts are breaking

*

the hourglass of sand is the beaches of our future
it lies right next to you by the oceans of sepulchre

the beacon of truth must be who sees the light in the darkness
to rid ourselves from sulphur's pain reach inside and find the child at rest

forever follow the path whatever the times - whatever the turmoils
'cause when you look back you saw you lived among the trouble and toils

*

as did my great grandpa with his twelve children in olden times
but for every kind human being there are less children that cries
