Why did I not see that which you saw
when you said that you had fallen
you meant for my words, I thought at first
well you got a line or two that is really good too
I said, answering in my manly fear and pride towards friendliness
but this bright shining light in the dark
how come I did not see it first
the first tendencies of the light of dawn
and nature's reflections of the first
streak of light's warmth out of the darkness

It usually is me, now I am thankful it was you that time
who saw my light shine which I had forgotten was still there, so that I could see yours, I think I had found it sooner or later somehow too, your strong radiance I gratefully since that day now see, hence the whole Universe on a postcard I've written to You
