It was just before concepts
were fully understood
and time share still
was a lucrative business .

I saw her on Sugar hill,
leaning with blond and blue
against my own cerulean sky,
universals were not a problem.

Little China was not the unseen,
a walk down The Bowery
might lead you to
sweatshops and brides.

Properties are not reasons,
nor repeatable, recurrent entities
that can be instantiated
at the flick of an eye.

And so serendipity beckons
to the coming:
