they used to have swing jazz, we have hardrock and ravebeats en masse
In days of yore they had ballads all the way down to Bellman
Like we also have in the Eurovision Song Contest, just ask Björn Kjellman

To Swedicize and Anglify yet another expression or "saying" melodrama
(or to translate it for my mother again)
"Ju mer saker ändrar sig desto mer förblir de desamma"
The more things change the more they stay the same
