sonnet

hail to thee, rippling gloom of lovers night,

where I with my sweet darling refuge seek,

in thoughts of mind and joy that shineth bright,

like Tibetan sun cast 'pon whitened peak.

and to thee also, clear starry sky unique,

whose undying sprite to my heart pertains,

and bears witness to sizzling gusts that leek,

from the sundried shell my essence remains.

and finally thee, ragged lonesome strains,

'pon which lovers feet imprint melodies,

singing of bygone wrongs aching the veins,

to me not leaving any remedies.

as the bright eye of heaven shall demise,

my comfort forever rests in thine eyes.
