Some years ago while waking from a lovely dream
I wrote a song to celebrate my love
My Tiger’s woe was lurking in my cogni-stream
he came along and raised me high above

For him I fell
was soaring like a fairy tale
He made me feel so kicking and alive
No whim, this well
revealed a man of caring wail
My zombie went away, this Tiger made me strive…

But love is blind, that summer was beguiling
we filled our cup by steamy phone and mail
My happy mind would plan a life of filing
the special ups from love that would prevail…

But then the air
of fall would render quite a shock
I didn’t know he had a loving wife…
In my despair
I settled for a random rock...
I’m now remembering that lovely summer strife
