What is the price of Love today

Does it even matter you say

How can you talk about price

Isn't it about sacrifice?

what do we put up with

what do we give up

what are the demands put upon us

who decides if you are worthy

if you fit the bill?

Is love a transaction or something wonderful

Harsh words perhaps

but I am jaded

not saying I do not believe in love

let's just say am less naive and more aware

Is it really fair

or is it it an transaction affair

trade away yourself and your needs

from loneliness

to something involving and getting involved

At the same time

let's switch the perspective

what is my worth

who deserves to be with me

who values my heart

shares my passions and my interests

I decide my worth

not saying i am perfect

not saying I am flawless

hell  no am not

but if you want to change who I am

then it was not really me you wanted, right ?

we all pay a Love Tax

what we leave and give up

for the price of love

should love be about sacrifice

or mutual happiness and growth?

To me it is definately about growth together and mutual gain

If Love is a one sided deal, it is never love

It is not just give, give and keep giving.

It is not take, take and keep taking.

The true Love comes when I love my self first

and show others how I desire to be loved

How I live what I teach

empty words without meaning or action

are just waste of the breath

Treat and love anyone the way you want to be loved

there is no real Tax

just relax

and start love

not blindly

with open eyes

aware of who you are

what you offer

what you want

what you need

and see what someone else

need

desire

offer

what you deserve

It is a two way street

not a race

not a qualifying heat

Hopefully Love will not feel so taxing
