the mote that is in your brother's eye
the beam that is in thine own eye

The Wait

I easily could tell a mote from a beam,
but once I looked deep into a human eye

"Just put wings to all your dreams!",
but I've seen this torned other side

They say I must suffer from a strange kind of illness,
but to my one and only question everybody was listless

This wound has no panacea in this world,
but I once received a vision from a blind girl:

Impatience in a hi-tech world of mimes
is the devil's greatest sign of our times

It is just a series of fast and easy lives
The king is lost - the land no more thrives

The great songs since long are gone
though fragments still linger on

So now sometimes I pray and silently sing
on my bare island

And watching for my ship to come in
