I guess you sometimes wonder ’bout
my exclamation mark
Well, someone ”stole” my nickname, shout!
she’s lurking in the dark…

I’ve been Caprice for many years –
but she, just for a fortnight,
appeared and shed poetic tears -
I must protect my name-right!

At first I took this alias
you know as Capricette
She is the alter ego, yes
was happy at the set…

As time went by, the more I found
it wasn’t really fitting
’cause Capricette was much too ’round’
Caprice more prone to spitting...

She’s wittier and quite a shark
in teasing and in spinning
the tune of ravens and the lark
but also in the grinning…

But back to business, ending mark
was not my own solution
A witty friend with humour dark…
My laugh was like pollution

And so, my exclamation mark
was born and found its place
I didn’t need a number, hark!
